1. Operational Identity & Role

House of Interpreters ("HOI") is an operating brand and network coordination platform wholly owned and managed by Translingoworld Private Limited ("Translingoworld"). HOI acts as a professional bridge and coordination authority connecting commercial organizations, public sector entities, and event organizers with qualified freelance and contracted professional interpreters.

2. Assignment Requests & Confirmations

Submission of an inquiry through the "Request an Interpreter" form constitutes a request for quote and feasibility assessment, not a binding service commitment. Formal assignment confirmation is finalized exclusively upon:

  • Verification of language pair availability and candidate suitability for the designated dates and geographic location.
  • Mutual execution of a formal statement of work (SOW) or commercial quotation between the client and Translingoworld Pvt. Ltd.
  • Execution of applicable advance payment terms and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).

3. Confidentiality Standards & Ethical Practice

All interpretation engagements arranged through HOI adhere to strict professional ethical codes:

  • Non-Disclosure: Interpreters and Translingoworld coordinators maintain strict confidentiality regarding all information, documents, spoken statements, and commercial negotiations accessed during assignments.
  • Fidelity & Impartiality: Interpreters are obligated to render accurate, unbiased interpretations of source speech without personal editorialization, distortion, or omission.
  • Professional Boundaries: Interpreters do not provide independent commercial, legal, or technical advice to either party during the interpretation engagement.

4. Working Conditions & Professional Dignity

High cognitive demands are inherent to simultaneous and consecutive interpretation. To ensure linguistic accuracy, clients agree to provide reasonable professional working conditions:

  • Preparatory Materials: Clients agree to supply relevant agendas, glossaries, presentation decks, or background documents in advance of the assignment date whenever feasible.
  • Simultaneous Booth Rotation: In accordance with international standards, full-day simultaneous interpretation assignments require a team of two interpreters working in regular rotations (typically 20–30 minutes) to avoid cognitive exhaustion and translation errors.
  • Site Safety & Dignity: For factory, construction, or active industrial assignments, clients must ensure interpreters receive appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), safety briefings, and dignified working environments.

5. Interpreter Network Applications

Linguists submitting their credentials via the "Join as an Interpreter" portal warrant that all provided educational qualifications, certifications, work histories, and language proficiency declarations are truthful and accurate. Submission of an application does not guarantee inclusion in assignments. Translingoworld maintains discretion in qualifying and assigning network members.

6. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service and any commercial agreements executed through House of Interpreters shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal disputes arising out of or related to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New Delhi, India.
